WFH WORLD CONGRESS 2024

#TreatmentforAll

The World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH) hosted its 2024 World Congress from April 21 to 24 in Madrid, Spain. Attendees included a wide range of stakeholders such as patients, healthcare professionals, researchers, policymakers, regulators, advocates, and industry representatives. The collective participation of the Bleeding and other coagulation disorders community highlights a commitment to realizing the WFH’s mission of “Treatment for All.”

During the Congress, as Kedrion, we had the privilege of speaking to Mr. Garrido (President of the World Federation of Hemophilia / Fédération mondiale de l’hémophilie), about a critical topic affecting patients globally: 𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐞𝐬. In our interview, he shared compelling perspectives on why this issue matters and what steps can be taken to bridge gaps in care.

Kedrion remains deeply committed to supporting patients globally and supports the WFH’s goal to increase diagnosis rates and ensure more equitable access in regions where minimum therapeutic standards are not yet met.

“The commitment of the World Federation of Hemophilia is to reach our vision of treatment for all. We are aware that the situation is not the same in developed and developing countries. For us, the commitment is to give equitable access to care and medicines worldwide.”

– Cesar Garrido, WFH President
