INHERITING A LEGACY OF INNOVATION

Operating in Hungary through our Human BioPlazma Kft subsidiary, we have carried on the legacy of HUMAN, founded in 1924 to develop sera and vaccines for human use.

Over its history, the Institute had an impressive 207 registered preparations including vaccines, therapeutic and diagnostic sera, and blood derivatives.

CELEBRATING A CENTURY OF HISTORY

The centenary celebrations, which will last until the end of the year, kicked off with a grand opening ceremony at the Gödöllő plant. The event was opened by institutional greetings from the Mayor of Gödöllő, György Gémesi, followed by our CEO Ugo Di Francesco and HUMAN BioPlazma Managing Director László Siadik.

“What we’re honoring today is the 100th anniversary of a science-driven company, a century of history and dedication to health. As we look back on our collective achievements, I also want to reaffirm our commitment to this boutique of excellence we have here in Gödöllő. This site remains a key player in Kedrion’s mission to enhance and save patient lives worldwide.” Ugo Di Francesco, CEO, stated.

“I remember those before us with gratitude for their courage and innovative approach; I am grateful for everything we are having now: our noble mission, a workplace for 200 people in Hungary as an integral part of Kedrion Biopharma, a solid global company, and a great city with excellent neighbours to work with.” – László Siadik, MD, commented.

ABOUT OUR SITE IN GÖDÖLLŐ

In 2008, we acquired the Gödöllő production facility, marking the beginning of our direct presence in Hungary. With a plasma fractionation capacity of 600,000 liters and around 200 people employed, today the Gödöllő plant is a vital part of our global manufacturing network.

In recent years, the Hungarian site has played a key role in supporting drug research projects, such as the development of our new 10% Immunoglobulin which will be available to patients from next year in the United States.

Through our local presence in Gödöllő, we have built strong relationships with the local community, distinguishing itself for its commitment to the region. Our dedication was recognized in 2016 with the “For the Town of Gödöllő” award. We remain committed to serving communities and enhancing the lives of those with rare diseases.
